Hi! I’m Lennox: I want to help you feel completely in control of the time you spend with your technology. I've walked the path you may find yourself on—a demanding job, constant connectivity, and the mental strain that accompanies it. The feeling of being tethered, even during moments meant for rest, is a challenge that many face. It's a tough problem, and I'm here to tell you that not only is it possible to solve it, you can actually use it to your advantage!

In my previous role, being on call and constantly tethered to my work took a toll on my mental well-being. I could sense the phone's constant presence, even when I “should” have been unplugged. The challenges this posed impacted more than my professional life: it impacted my ability to spend quality time with my family and enjoy the life I was working for.

To combat this, I developed a method of Practical Digital Wellness. I was test subject number 1 and the benefits were amazing! I implemented boundaries—both technical settings and personal rules—to regain control. I refocused my hobbies and interests, changed the way I communicated, and intentionally made the digital landscape less alluring. The result? A transformed relationship with work and technology that allowed me to maintain a dynamic balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.

But the journey doesn't end there. My spouse, who still navigates a job with similar demands, and I continue to refine the method. It's an ongoing process that requires constant attention and adjustment.

Signs I needed digital wellness practices

Productivity Burnout: As my job demanded constant connectivity, the drain was real! I was putting more energy in and getting less “good” work out. My coaching now addresses the diminishing returns of connectivity and guides you in optimizing for sustainable productivity.

Relationship Strain: Excessive screen time was straining my personal relationships. I said a lot of “just one thing-”s and “5 minutes I swear-”s. I was struggling to be present with my family and missing out on moments. I found myself arriving late to events or even ghosting. Now, I am able to guide my clients through balancing digital engagement within the practicalities of professional responsibilities, fostering more presence and meaningful moments.

Mental Health Strain: Stress and mental fatigue were nearly constant - but they didn’t have to be. My coaching offers tools to manage stress, cultivate mindfulness, and promote realistically achieved mental well-being.

Sleep Disruption: My sleep was disrupted by the near-constant buzz of devices. That was simply part of my on-call job! And boy did it make me angry when corporate sent out “sleep wellness” emails with suggestions I literally couldn’t take. I developed practical, do-able, strategies that fit into my life, which are included in my programs now.

Loss of Presence: Even when I was present physically, I often found my attention wandering back to work. Sometimes there was something urgent happening, but other times it was just a habit! Because of this, my coaching combines mindfulness practices and technical tools to enhance your presence, improve focus, and deepen your in-person connections.
